Why Kevin Gray and Phil Metzger built AOS

Founded by Kevin Gray and Phil Metzger
Companies with tremendous growth have systems.
Kevin Gray owns Pave It Forward Asphalt. He carries the knowledge of a paving company founded in 1959, grew that first company to more than seven times its size, then opened his second company on that experience. Pave It Forward is in its third year and on track to hit $4 million. That is where "Pay the cost to be the boss" comes from: know every part of your business, because nobody else will.
Phil Metzger owns Mirror Marketing, a marketing company for contractors, and has helped Kevin build the AOS program and community from scratch. He first came to paving in search of the data that mattered to successful asphalt companies. Inside AOS, his focus is the systems behind them.
AOS, or Asphalt Operating System, is a continuation of the Pave It Forward Podcast, where Kevin and Phil set out to help leaders in the paving industry who are looking to run more efficiently, meet their ideal customer, and improve the lives of those around them through meaningful work. When operators get stronger, opportunities arise.
